 Angels and Kings

The Lower East Side may be known as ‘The Bar District,’ but Angels and Kings is one of the most noted spots that many celebs fly to enjoy a night on the town.
Located between the trendy Alphabet City and the East Village, Angels and Kings, which recently opened this year on April 30th, is the creation of bassist Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, MC Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, and Jamison Ernst of Yellow Fever Clothing, as well as many other band members from Crush Management.
Named after two previous band names, this rock ‘n’ roll bar is both gritty and sexy with barely-lit candles, black leather couches, and wine-red walls with mug shots of Frank Sinatra, Jim Morrison and James Brown.  Visitors sip on ‘White Guilt’, a martini chilled with Stoli Peach Vodka and a splash of vanilla soy milk, or alternatively the more famous ‘Ashley Iced Tea’, which is allegedly not named after Wentz’s girlfriend.
You can enjoy a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks, no waiting list and listen to the jukebox featuring the sounds of artists such as Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple and Michael Jackson.  Angels and Kings features different parties for every night of the week with intimate live music, as well as lesbian night on ‘Starlet Sundays’, guaranteeing a good time for anyone in the city.  Now you can party like a rock star even if all you play is air guitar!

Angels and Kings is located at 500 E 11th Street, between Avenues A and B, East Village.  Telephone 212-254-4090
