Reuters’ humanitarian website AlertNet released the results of a poll yesterday, having asked over 600 people who they believe gave the best (and worst) name to “celebrity humanitarianism” in 2007. The winner? Miss Angelina Jolie. In the past 12 months, she has visited over 20 humanitarian hot spots (including Iraq and Darfur) since becoming a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency in 2001.

And who topped the ‘worst name to humanitarianism’ chart? Madonna, closely followed by Miss Paris Hilton. No surprises there.
