Fashion Reads

That Extra Half An Inch by Victoria Beckham
This is long overdue, but only recently have I finally had the chance to sit down and read through the style guide written by Mrs. Beckham herself. The book was very light, easy to read and I didn’t get much out of it personally. The book has helpful hints about where to go for what and who’s who in the fashion world. With that said, I do honestly feel this is a book that will help many women who are clueless about fashion or teens trying to develop a style sense that is more mainstream. Now if you’re looking for style and not just fashion which fades, I suggest you read a little number that I have been reading for the last week, Wife Dressing.

Wife Dressing by Ann Forgarty
It was written in 1959 by the fashion designer of her time, Anne Fogarty. I am falling in love with this book and the advice that fills the pages are so practical yet so genius. You’ll keep wondering why you never thought of the things Fogarty reveals as her daily rituals. Don’t take a step back because of the title, you don’t need a husband to understand the concepts of a great sense and disciplined grooming. M.M.
