Gerald Laing in London

Chic Today was invited to privately view a selection of works from the infamous pop artist Gerald Laing, currently being exhibited at The Fine Art Society (148 New Bond Street, London W1S 2JT).
The collection consists of ‘unique abstract sculpture from the 1960s and the last available bronze sculpture from the 1970s’.
Although the pieces were a treat for the eyes (my personal favourite being the striking ‘Red Trace’ sculpture pictured below), the prices were as eye-watering as you would expect when it is such a legendary artist selling his wares.

Ranging from £12,000-70,000, it might not be exactly what you had in mind for a mother’s day gift. However, it is definitely worth a wander. After all, The Fine Art Society is just a few shops away from Chanel, what more of an excuse do you need?
Call +44 (0)20 7629 5116 or visit www.faslondon.com for more info. The exhibition is running from 27 February to 11 March 2008.
