Chic Today this afternoon attended an exclusive Book Launch event, ‘Passage to Freedom’ by Dawn Mellowship, at the Myhotel Bloomsbury in London.

Appropriately selected in order to convey a tranquil, relaxed theme, this hotel certainly exuberated style whilst remaining unpretentious. Combining a fusion of east and western culture and style, the contemporary yet unique design takes inspiration from feng-shui and on arrival I certainly felt a sense of serenity as I soaked up the atmosphere.

The actual event was held in the West Room, and using a trip to the bathroom as the perfect excuse to explore further, I found the hotel somewhat reminiscent of a health spa. I was even uncharacteristically tempted to look inside the gym simply due to the fact that it was labelled the ‘Energy Zone’ which conjures up a somewhat more favourable attitude to dragging yourself upon the treadmill.

Furnished with calming yet quirky colours and fabrics, it was an absolute pleasure experiencing this venue and found myself reluctant to face enduring the hectic atmosphere of the outside City.
