The Absolute Photography of August Sander

Minneapolis, USA– If you are in town, make sure you don’t miss the utterly breathtaking August Sander exhibition currently being held at the Weinstein Gallery until the 12th of April 2008.
Featuring 23 special large format images printed from the original negatives, the exhibition is an insightful reflection of Sander’s vision, capturing defining fragments of the 2oth century’s early years.
Sander’s incredible talent has influenced the likes of Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon and Robert Frank, and his works are collected by the world’s most renowned museums including the MoMa and the Met in New York.
‘By capturing through absolute photography both the individual social strata and their surroundings, I hope to give a true psychology of our time and of our people’ -August Sander
