The Versatility Of Scarlett Johansson
In today’s soy latte gulping, Prada heeled society, it appears that the traditional boundaries that used to separate artists from actors, music from film are gradually blurring into one.
An actress who has recently stepped into the music world away from the cinematographic spotlights which brought her worldwide fame, is the fabulous Scarlett Johansson.
Her debut album, ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’, is set to hit stores on the 20th of May, and contains a series of Tom Waits covers and guest vocals from David Bowie himself. I recently stumbled upon a film clip of one of her tracks, Falling Down, and as much as I find her beauty utterly enchanting, I have to admit that am not entirely convinced her voice will be taking her to the Grammys anytime soon.
Of course, being a true musician is not merely about winning awards, and I certainly applaud her brave originality and multifaceted versatility.
