Reiki: Path To Health and Happiness
Living in the hustle and bustle of a city can be stressful. In fact, regardless of where you live, life as a whole can be stressful. Catching the rush hour tube today nearly drove me to insanity but surely there are ways and techniques of combating stress and teach us to somehow rise above the irritations we face on a daily basis?
In recent years there has being a great deal of emphasis placed upon undergoing holistic therapies and treatments for healing purposes. These may contribute to reducing stress and increasing an awareness of the inner spirit. One of these particular techniques is Reiki which derives from Japan.
Reiki is one of the more widely acknowledged forms of energy healing and activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself; minimising the sense of helplessness and regaining the body back into harmony by relieving physical, spiritual, and emotional blockages. The theory underlying how Reiki works emphasises the correlation between body, mind, and spirit. It is practiced and based upon receiving and transferral of energy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone has the ability to use. It has contributed in helping many illnesses and also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
So how exactly does Reiki work? The practitioner places his or her hands upon the person to be healed and the transferral of energy begins flowing. The energy draws through the healer the correct amount of energy which the recipient needs. All this happens without direct conscious intervention by the healer. Of course, holistic and healing therapies are subject to scepticism as the benefits are immeasurable in contrast to medical treatments whereby you may be given medication or an operation is performed. However, it has been scientifically proven to work, as although it derives from an ancient energy system Reiki correlates with modern quantum physics principles. Many doctors now in fact support treatments such as Reiki either solely or in conjunction with Westernised treatments as it has the ability to tap into the mind and spirit; both of which can be extremely powerful. If a treatment can assist you in training your mind to become more positive and achieve a sense of well-being, tests have proved that illness and stress can be reduced, thus leading to a healthier life.
Many people are dubious because they are under the impression that Reiki is a religion. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use it. However you must be open-minded and make an active commitment to improve current lifestyle habits in order for it the treatment to be as effective as possible.
Reiki is very easily learned, simple to use, and beneficial for all. It is widely treated to cure mind based illnesses such as bi-polar disease in addition to physical related illnesses such as cancer. Many people who have undergone the treatment have encountered miraculous results which regular medical treatment has failed to achieve. Our minds are more powerful than we imagine and treatments such as Reiki encourage and train us to absorb energy in a positive manner in order to increase happiness, fulfilment and health. Perhaps there is peace after all within that rush hour tube!
