Blindness Opens 61st Cannes Film Festival
Cannes, France–The first night of the 61st edition of the Cannes Film Festival opened with the gripping movie, Blindness, based on the novel by the Nobel-winning author, José Saramago. With a stellar cast, including Julianne Moore and Gael Garcia Bernal, the film tells of humanity under siege as, one by one, inhabitants of a city succumb to an epidemic of white blindness. This is set to be one of fall’s must-see movies.
