I am a huge fan of everything vintage and love nothing more than wearing or owning something quirky and unique. Shopping for vintage isn’t quite as appealing though as there tends to be a great deal of sifting and trawling before you hit gold. When I heard that there was an online vintage shop, I was definitely intrigued and what I have discovered is a beautiful virtual vintage town at www.iwantvintage.co.uk

The site is an online shop which sells a selection of the best vintage pieces from unique suppliers, shops and vintage specialists across the UK. The adorable little shops are each divided into individual boutiques, ranging from soft furnishings and furniture to clothing, accessories and art. When something catches your eye, simply click on the item description, which then allows you to access the seller’s website, and buy the product directly from the original source at no extra cost.

This exquisitely embroidered 1950’s evening bag, from Trinket (above) is just one of the gorgeous accessories stocked on the site. The stunning bag has a gold tone frame with a kiss clasp and a 30cm gold tone snake chain. It has no label, but is believed to have been made by London firm Krucher and is priced at £59.00/$114.75.

I have already recommended this to friends who have wanted unique or unusual gifts and know I will be doing some serious shopping in this virtual vintage heaven. A really great site which is visually beautiful and has something for every taste and budget.
