Liv Tyler’s beauty is, in one word, breathtaking. A beauty which goes beyond her porcelain skin and captivating gaze and which is reflected in her inspiring talent both as an actress and model, as well as a mother. Chic Today recently caught up with this ravishing damsel to discuss her long-standing collaboration with luxe beauty brand Givenchy and discover a handful of her beauty secrets…

What aspect of Givenchy’s philosophy do you most emphatize with and why?

The fact that the brand remains so timeless, fresh and modern. The Givenchy style is a mix of freedom and sophistication which I love. I’m wild about the make-up line. The products are so beautiful and the packaging is so cute and special. I love taking it out to show people. When I wear their Very Irresistible perfume, I feel youthful and free while also feeling very much a woman.

What three things should never be missing from a beauty trousse?

(1) I never go without my Prisme Again! Compact Powder, this is my favourite powder in the whole world.

(2) I also always bring Rouge Interdit lipstick in Illicit Raspberry, the lipstick is rich and moisturising and I can use a touch of it on my cheeks as blusher as well. It is the most delicious lip stick I have ever come across and I’m completely hooked.

(3) My secret weapon is my concealer -Mister Light by Givenchy. It hides any flaws, like dark circles under my eyes.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Stella McCartney and Kate Hudson are all very close friends of yours. If you had to give each one a different Givenchy product as a gift, which would it be and why?

For Gwyneth I would give her Le Soin Noir. It is a delicious black cream and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous.

For Kate I would give her a Phenomen’Eyes mascara. She is a real mascara fan and I know she would love it!

For Stella I would give her the limited edition Shimmer’ Eyes in Precious Shimmer from this year’s autumn collection. I know she would love the metallic soft pink and gold colours.

Your daily makeup/beauty routine?

Less is always more – it’s something that my Grandmother taught me, and it’s so true! My make-up routine only takes five minutes, and everything can fit easily into my handbag. I start with Givenchy’s Prisme Again! Visage – it’s a lovely light powder that gives me a lovely glow. I will always spritz on some of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible Eau de Parfum–not only is it my favourite fragrance, it also contains my own rose.

Givenchy named a rose after you. What one flower can’t you live without?

I have always adored the Jasmine flower.

Over the past 5 years, you have grown and changed alongside Givenchy. What is your favourite journey?

My favourite journey in the past five years has been to become a mother to my son Milo.

What I love so much about the idea of beauty is that it is so personal, everyone in the world sees beauty differently, and I find this idea very inspiring. Everyone has different charms good and bad. What I find the most beautiful in the people I love is that little something special about them, their individuality. I think that is really hot!!!
